Mumbai, September 6
Former India batting coach Sanjay Bangar pointed out that Suryakumar Yadav is struggling with his batting performance during the middle overs in the ODIs. Bangar also mentioned that Yadav, who is known for his skills in T20 matches, should work on improving his ability to regularly exchange singles and keeps the scoreboard ticking during this phase of the game.
Bangar said that although Suryakumar is good at hitting boundaries in any part of the game, he needs to have a clear plan for scoring runs during the middle overs.
“The main reason is that it is difficult to score boundaries during the middle part of the innings. ” Bangar explained that when three or four players are out, it becomes challenging to score boundaries because the ball gets worn out. Suryakumar is a player who can do many different things well. He knows where to hit the ball to get boundaries, but he needs to learn how to score runs during the 25th and 40th overs.
The PCB wants the bilateral series to start again.
Amritsar: A group of four people from the BCCI, including its president Roger Binny and vice-president Rajeev Shukla, came back from Pakistan today. The main thing the BCCI and PCB were talking about was when they would start playing cricket matches against each other again. India and Pakistan have only played against each other in ICC and ACC tournaments for more than ten years. Shukla said that they told the PCB that the BCCI would bring up the matter with the Indian government. The BCCI team went to Lahore to see the Asia Cup game between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan on Tuesday.
