Durand cup: Bagan edge out EB to win title

Kolkata, September 3: In a highly competitive match, Mohun Bagan Super Giant beat East Bengal 1-0 to win the Durand Cup title after 23 years. Mohun Bagan had one player less on the field after Anirudh Thapa was given a red card. However, Dimitri Petratos scored a brilliant goal in the 71st minute to secure the win for his team. He skillfully passed the East Bengal defense and shot from a distance of 25 yards. The East Bengal goalkeeper, Prabhsukhan Singh Gill, couldn’t do anything to help his team. Towards the end of the match, the East Bengal coach, Carles Cuadrat, made three substitutions in order to make the score equal. The other team’s coach, Juan Ferrando, made eight of his players stay in their own half to defend. In a big argument, East Bengal’s assistant coach Dimas Delgado fought with Ferrando, and after a fight, Delgado was given a red card during extra time. This was Mohun Bagan’s 17th Durand Cup win. They won the title in 2000 by scoring a goal against Mahindra United. Mohun Bagan got back at East Bengal for beating them 2-1 in the 2004 Durand Cup final. During this time, Mohun Bagan had not won three Durand Cup finals. The most recent loss was against Gokulam Kerala with a score of 1-2 in 2019. From the perspective of East Bengal, they have not been able to win a national-level title again since 2012 when they won the Federation Cup. Please rewrite this text using simpler words:
