Kandy, September 3 – Jasprit Bumrah, a star cricketer from India, has left the ongoing Asia Cup in order to attend to personal matters. Sources say that he is expected to return in time for the later stages of the tournament, starting from September 6. Mohammed Shami, an experienced fast bowler, may replace him in the match against Nepal. Bumrah had recently come back to international cricket after being injured for over 10 months, during India’s T20I series as a captain. He not only helped a young Indian team win a series, but he also showed great fitness and rhythm by taking four wickets in two matches, with the best result being 2/15. India will play against Nepal in their Asia Cup match in Kandy. In Group A, Pakistan advanced to the next round with three points. They won against Nepal and had a game cancelled against India.
