Rancho Mirage in California, on September 1, Pranavi Urs and Sneha Singh led four Indian players into the next round of the LPGA Qualifying School. They played on different golf courses over four days. Pranavi and Sneha finished in the 38th position, while Sharmila Nicollet secured a place in the next stage by finishing in the 89th position. The top 95 players qualified for the second round. Pranavi will represent India at the Hangzhou Asian Games this month. All the top 95 players and those who are tied will have a special position on the Epson Tour for 2024. The Epson Tour is the official qualifying tour of the LPGA and it is also called “Road to the LPGA”. Besides Pranavi, Sneha, and Sharmila, Nishtha Madan already has the Epson Tour position. An Epson Tour status allows players to participate in a few LPGA starts the next year. Japan’s Suzuka Yamaguchi and Canadian amateur Savannah Grewal were tied for first place at 15-under. Two other amateurs, Jensen Castle from the US and Fiona Xu from Australia, were tied for third place. The text needs to be rewritten in simpler words.
