Akashdeep misses out as HI announces Asiad teams

Akashdeep Singh, a highly experienced forward, was not chosen to be part of the 18-player Indian men’s hockey team for the Asian Games.
Akashdeep was the second-highest scorer for Team India in the Asian Champions Trophy, which took place in Chennai this month. Harmanpreet will be the captain and Hardik Singh will be the vice-captain.
Meanwhile, Savita Punia will be the captain of the 18-member women’s team. Navjot Kaur, an experienced midfielder who led India at the Hockey 5s World Cup qualifiers, did not make it to the team. PTI is an abbreviation or acronym that stands for something, but it is not clear what it means.
