India-Pakistan cricket World Cup clash in Ahmedabad could be rescheduled, fans face logistical nightmare

New Delhi, July 26.
The highly anticipated cricket match between India and Pakistan in the ODI World Cup might be moved to October 14 because of the start of Navratri celebrations in Ahmedabad. This change could cause a lot of problems for the fans.

Last month, the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the BCCI decided and announced the schedule for the World Cup. They also chose the biggest stadium in Ahmedabad for the important match.

The prices for hotels and plane tickets to Ahmedabad went way up after they announced the schedule for the game. If the game gets moved to a different day, it will be even harder for fans.
The source from BCCI said that because October 15 is the same day as the start of Navratri celebrations, the security agencies have advised to reschedule the big game. This game will also require a lot of security officials to be present.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) may have to discuss with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to decide if the date needs to be changed.
“The ICC is planning to have more discussions and will inform us about any updates in the future,” people who are close to the ICC said.
PTI found out that the game will still be happening at the Narendra Modi Stadium. However, the fans will have to change their travel plans.
India will have their first World Cup match against Australia on October 8 in Chennai. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s first two matches will take place on October 6 and October 12 in Hyderabad.
Moving the Indo-Pak game to an earlier date could also affect the Babar Azam-led team. They would have one less day to get ready for the important match. Please rewrite the following text using simpler language: “Surely you’re not serious,” I exclaimed.
