Prithvi Shaw not losing sleep over India selection

Northampton, August 10th
Prithvi Shaw, an Indian cricket player who recently scored two hundred points in a cricket match, said that he is not currently focused on his future in the national team. Instead, he just wants to enjoy playing in country cricket.
Shaw hit 244 runs from 153 balls to help Northamptonshire win by 87 runs against Somerset in England’s One-Day Cup on Wednesday.
The skilled 23-year-old has not been considered for the national team for the past two years. He last played for India in Sri Lanka in July 2021. He was not chosen to play in the ongoing series against West Indies and he will also not be playing in the second-string Indian T20I squads for the upcoming Ireland series and the Asian Games. Definitely (here for) the experience, for sure. Simplified: Definitely here for the experience, that’s for sure. I’m not really sure what the Indian selectors are thinking, but I just want to enjoy myself here,” Shaw said. Northamptonshire offered me this chance. They are taking good care of me. “I’m really loving it,” he said.
Playing his first season in his home county, Shaw looked really good as he hit 28 fours and 11 sixes on his way to scoring a double century. Shaw said that the weather was good for batting, with the sun shining brightly. He also felt confident that he would perform well that day.
The weather today (Wednesday) was sunny and similar to Indian weather, so it looked really nice. I wasn’t thinking about anything. You understand when the ball hits the edge of the bat but I am not out, it means I will have a good day. Sometimes, luck is on our side. Today was one of those days for me. After that, I didn’t turn around to see what was behind me. “When I reached a score of 150, I felt like I was hitting the ball very accurately, and I believed that this could be the day for me to achieve an even higher score,” he expressed.
