Swimming Nationals: Rujuta Khade breaks 20-year-old record

Maharashtra’s Rujuta Khade made history at the swimming Nationals, setting a 20-year-old national record with a time of 26.47s to win the gold in the 50m women’s freestyle event. The previous record of 26.61s, held by Shikha Tandon since 2003, was broken by Rujuta.

The AIFF named India winger Lallianzuala Chhangte as the Men’s Footballer of the Year and Manisha Kalyan as the Women’s Player of the Year. Manisha, a 21-year-old Punjab forward, plays for the Cypriot first division club Apollon Ladies.
