Muzumdar set to become women’s cricket team coach

Domestic cricketer Amol Muzumdar has been appointed as the head coach of India’s women’s cricket team. His first assignment will be the tour of Bangladesh beginning July 9, where the team will play three T20s and three ODIs. Meanwhile, Olympian Dipa Karmakar is set to take part in the Asian Games gymnastics selection trials in Bhubaneswar on July 11 and 12. On the other hand, Belgian Jasper Philipsen won the third stage of the Tour de France today, a 193.5 km ride from Amorebieta Etxano, Spain. Adam Yates from Britain retained the leader’s yellow jersey. The All India Football Federation also announced today that the Federation Cup, India’s premier cup competition, will be making a return after a six year gap from the 2023-24 season.
