Bangladesh spin bowling consultant Rangana Herath has finished his 14-day quarantine and has been permitted to join the group in front of the two Test series against New Zealand.

Herath tried positive for COVID-19 subsequent to showing up in New Zealand while eight different individuals from the Test crew involving players and care staff were approached to go through broadened quarantine as they were in close contact with a COVID-positive patient who was flying with them from Malaysia to New Zealand.

”MIQ (Managed Isolation and Quarantine) offices delivered me today and presently I am so glad to be back with the group. There were questions over the series going on later the training meetings halted and the players were sent into isolation once more. In the end, the players were permitted to continue practice later every one of the individuals from the visiting party returned negative tests on December 21.

The Bangladesh group is right now in Tauranga for the last period of planning. Because of the quarantine, they couldn’t play the two-day intra-crew match which was booked on December 22 and 23 however they will play a two-day game against the New Zealand XI on December 28-29.
