Anrich Nortje ruled out of India Tests with injury

South Africa quick bowler Anrich Nortje has been ruled out of the forthcoming three-coordinate Test series against India with a “steady injury,” the Cricket South Africa (CSA) uncovered on Twitter. It is being learnt that it’s a hip injury that has been alarming Nortje.

No substitution has been named for what currently stays a 20-part solid Test crew.

Anrich Nortje, 28, has been South Africa’s chief quick bowler across designs as of late and has moved forward to cover for Kagiso Rabada, who’s thus blown hot and cold of late. Nortje has played five of his 12 Tests this year and last addressed his country in the organization in the West Indies recently in June. He picked 8 wickets across two Test matches on the visit and featured in a 2-0 series win for the guests.

Nortje’s nonattendance against India could clear a worldwide rebound for Duanne Olivier who last played a Test for South Africa in 2019. Olivier, with 10 Test covers, gotten back to South Africa recently later a Kolpak spell and has been among the wickets this season. In his four top notch matches in Four-Day Franchise series, Olivier has sacked 28 wickets at a normal of 11.14, returning best match figures of 9 for 95.
