Regal Challengers Bangalore have named Sanjay Bangar as lead trainer for the approaching IPL season. He will assume control over the mantle of instructing the side from Mike Hesson, who thus will stay with the set-up as Director of Cricket Operations. Bangar, who played 12 Tests and 15 ODIs for India, has wore instructing jobs with different set-ups. In 2010, he was the batting mentor of Kochi Tuskers in the IPL. He was named as the associate mentor of Kings XI Punjab before the 2014 IPL season. In this way, during a similar season, he took over from Darren Lehmann as lead trainer and directed the side to their best at any point show – other participants – in the IPL. This year, he was designated as RCB’s batting specialist. He has additionally served the India group in various instructing limits – batting mentor, associate mentor, close by being lead trainer of the Indian group that visited Zimbabwe in June 2016.
