George Garton to join Adelaide Strikers in BBL.

George Garton will join Adelaide Strikers for the impending period of the Big Bash League. The 24-year-old stowed ten wickets from nine matches in The Hundred for the Southern Brave and assisted them with securing the title.

He was consequently picked by Royal Challengers Bangalore for the UAE leg of the Indian Premier League 2021. “I’m truly eager to be a piece of the Adelaide Strikers, a club with a particularly fruitful history in the Big Bash,” Garton said.

Garton will join previous Sussex lead trainer Jason Gillespie during his experience with the Strikers. Gillespie felt that the left-arm pacer will actually want to make up for the shortfall left by Michael Neser. “George has been on England’s radar for some time now,” Gillespie said. “He bowls left-arm quick. He can swing the new ball, which is extraordinary. He is a forceful left-hand hitter who can clear the rope and he would be probably the best defender on the planet right now. He is best in class.

Strikers will play their initial match against Melbourne Stars on December 7 to get their mission rolling.
