“A man has been captured on doubt of attack following an episode at the Oval Cricket Ground on Friday, 3 September. He stays in guardianship at a south London police headquarters,” the Metropolitan Police said in an articulation to British media.
The ECB said that any pitch attack was “totally inadmissible” in a proclamation to British media.
“The ECB and our host settings don’t endure any such conduct which hazards the wellbeing of players, authorities and staff,” the cricket body added.

In the interim, India ended on a good note on Day 2, as openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul added 43 runs for the primary wicket till the play was canceled for the afternoon. India are currently following by 56 runs from England and will hope to take lead on Day 4 of the Test.
